Congratulations! We’re halfway through January!

How are those fitness resolutions coming along? If you’re like us in this cold, your bathing suit is telling you to go to the gym, but your sweatpants are like, “nah you’re good!”

But it doesn’t have to be that way. Following are our 5 tips for keeping your New Year’s resolution to get fit.

1.Do It With a Friend

Pairing up with a buddy will help make any workout more fun, but most importantly–it’ll hold you accountable. Team up with someone who shares a common goal. Before you start out, write down what you plan to achieve, and share with each other. Bonus points if you meet every week to discuss your progress!

2. Track Your Goals

One of the best ways to accomplish your goals is to write them down! Luckily, there are apps out there that make staying on top of them that much easier! Whether you’re aiming to eat better, run more miles, or just be more active in general, you can track your progress with apps like Habit List, Human, and Breeze.

3. Set Up Smaller Goals

Getting in shape can be a daunting task, which is why it’s often best to set small, specific and — above all else — realistic goals at the beginning of your journey.

4. Don’t Look For Perfection

Once you have established a goal, don’t expect to achieve it flawlessly. When it comes to fitness, being a perfectionist can set the stage for disappointment and, ultimately, failure.

5.Wear the Right Underwear

Long endurance workouts can cause irritation and chafing. And if you’re already wearing the right shirt and shorts, it’s time to consider wearing performance underwear to -nhance your workouts. Made from a microfiber blend that feels like a second skin, our Performance Brief is moisture wicking, breathable and allows freedom of movement. Totes a no brainer.
