Men Jockstraps

A jockstrap is the only men’s underwear style that separates support from coverage. The pouch holds everything in place while the open rear eliminates unnecessary fabric. We build ours in our Colombian factory across four distinct categories: athletic microfiber for daily wear, lace for a bolder look, mesh for maximum airflow and faux leather from our DNGEON line for fetish and club wear.

What Makes a Jockstrap Worth Wearing

Jock Strap Construction Pouch, Waistband, Leg Straps

Three components determine whether a jock strap works or fails. 1) The contour pouch needs to be a separate cut panel, not a flat fold. We draft ours with the same anatomical shape used across our briefs and boxer briefs. 2) The waistband must be right. Ours is a 50mm woven elastic that distributes even pressure without rolling. 3) Leg Straps must be crafted just right. Our leg straps are 20mm crochet elastic, soft and durable. Soft enough against your inner thigh for all day wear and durable enough to withstand countless washes. How can you tell the difference from our good quality jockstrap and a cheaply made one? A cheap one is heat-bonded into the elastic, not sitting on top of it.

Jockstraps for the Gym, for Going Out, and for Every Day

A time and true item is the jockstrap. It is still very successful for athletic gear. The open rear means zero fabric bunching during squats, deadlifts, and cycling. Our microfiber jocks add a nice touch to the regular design with its wick moisture that dries extremely fast. But move over basic jockstraps, a new-elevated style has arrived. Want a jockstrap that goes beyond a locker room? Look no further than our lace and mesh styles that work under fitted pants for a clean silhouette with built-in confidence. Our DNGEON faux leather jocks with O-ring hardware are built for circuit parties, Pride events, and club nights. If you want even less coverage, our thongs use the same pouch construction with a back strap instead of leg straps.

Sizing a Jockstrap Waist Measurement Is Everything

An important detail to keep in mind is that jockstraps fit by the waist, not hip. Measure at your natural waist (about 5 inches below the belly button for MaleBasics sizing). The leg straps are form-fitting elastic. They’re cut shorter than your thigh circumference, to give you more stretch and less digging in. If you’re between sizes, go with your standard size. The elastic accommodates for that. First time Jockstrap buyer? Look no further than our Microfiber athletic style. Feeling more adventurous? Our mesh collection and men’s panties offer different levels of coverage with similar construction quality.

Common Questions About Jockstraps

What is a jockstrap used for? Today jockstraps serve two markets: athletic (gym, cycling, running) and fashion (lace, mesh, and faux leather styles for club wear, Pride events, and bedroom confidence). Both versions need the same construction fundamentals: contour pouch, woven elastic waistband, and properly tensioned leg straps. How do you wear a jockstrap? Step in like briefs. The pouch faces front, the two leg straps go around your upper thighs and connect at the waistband in the rear. The waistband should sit at your hips (not your waist). Leg straps should feel snug. Our 20mm crochet elastic is cut with negative ease so it grips without digging. If the straps slide down your legs, you need a smaller size.

Do you wear anything under a jockstrap? No. A jockstrap is designed as your only underwear layer. The contour pouch provides all the support you need. Adding briefs will restrict airflow, and you will also add unnecessary bulk.
